And it begins

Standard

In a couple of hours we embark on what we hope will be a new life in Portugal. The sky is blue and the sun is shining here, which must be a good omen. It’s a good thing we don’t believe in bad omens – the seas are described as ‘moderate to rough’ for our 24 hour ferry crossing and it is raining in central Portugal at the moment.

We’ve stocked up on snacks, DVDs and sea-sickness tablets for the journey and the car is packed to the rafters with stuff.

We’re ready – wish us luck!

  1. A fresh start, a new beginning – we’ve just been through that – and, trust me, there’s nothing like it 🙂 wouldn’t go back for anything!

    Best of luck 🙂

  2. Don’t worry ,have been communing with the god of ferries ,it looks good here ! …and I have been thinking of you.

  3. If the crossing was (is) bad, I hope you slept through the worst of it. We are very happy for you and looking forward to seeing you in Portugal before long. If the weather is bad when you land, maybe we will have to see more than eight hourly photos of your drive South.
